TLDR:
Starknet builders are embracing building in the open

JediSwap releases their DeFi dashboard
All this and so much more! 🚀
🎉 Announcement, after announcement
StarkWare Sessions is currently happening in Tel Aviv, with many teams delivering massive announcements. If you’ve been unable to attend, you’re probably feeling some serious fomo (I am!).
But don’t fear, StarkWare has livestreamed the entire event.
The first day covered many exciting talks from key people in the community, and the second day includes even more talks and panel discussions!
Next week we’ll cover everything that happened at StarkWare Sessions. But some notable announcements have been Starknet open-sourcing their prover, Argent announcing web wallet, 2FA, and Starknet on mobile, and Braavos open-sourcing their smart contracts.
👋 Meet Horus, an open-source formal verification tool for Starknet
If it’s not clear already, this week's theme is open-source technology.
The awesome team at Nethermind recently announced the release of Horus, a new open-source formal verification tool for Starknet contracts.
Developers can now annotate their code with special specifications using a simple assertion language similar to Cairo-lang. Horus will verify that the contract’s implementation matches these specifications, helping you detect bugs before your contract is deployed.
📈 Another HUGE step in growing Starknet
A project exciting the Starknet community is the attempt to build a zkEVM on the network. It’s called Kakarot and has seen impressive growth. Last week, they announced that you can now connect your Ethereum Metamask wallet to Kakarot’s RPC!
🙌 Three Sigma open-sources their StarkEX SKDK
Seriously, many teams made their products open-source last week.
Three Sigma wouldn’t be left out as they announced that they would be open-sourcing their StarkEX SDK, which enables the development of RollApps on StarkEX.
📊 More teams building on Starknet
Switchboard, a decentralized, permissionless, customizable, and multi-chain oracle protocol, announced they would expand their services to Starknet to provide general-purpose data feeds and verifiable randomness.
🤑 Demand for $LORDs exceeds all expectations!
Realms is building a massive on-chain game leveraging the benefits of Starknet.
Recently they raised funds from their community to help with development. The plan was simple. Offer $LORDs for USDC in a private sale to fund Realms’ development. Anything left would get offered to the public.
But the public wouldn’t get their chance to get in on the action as the Lords were very bullish, scooping everything up with over 9 hours remaining for the private sale to end!
📊 Track everything on JediSwap
The incredible team at JediSwap recently announced the release of an analytic dashboard that helps you keep track of all the major on-chain metrics, including TVL, trading volumes, and APYs.
💻 Voyager now displays contracts and class types
Last week, the Nethermind team announced that contracts and class types are now displayed on Voyager. So whether it’s an ERC20, ERC721, Argent, or Braavos contract, you’ll get to know it at a glance!
🧱 Awesome Developer’s Resources
Nostra explains why they are building on Starknet, which makes for fascinating reading, especially if you’re a team figuring out what network you should be building on.
💭 Things we found Interesting
Last week, we saw the first-ever Cairo program run in a browser!
👀 What to look out for!
Alpha leak! 🚨
ZKX, the first perpetual futures DEX on Starknet, will go live on testnet from 14th March 2023!
This is a big step for the team, as they will also be open-sourcing all their smart contracts and releasing many community incentive programs.
Keep an eye on their Twitter, as it’s highly likely that there will be an abundance of exciting updates and announcements to come!
💭 You SHOULD be following this person
We’ll highlight someone with a smaller following in the Starknet community every week. This week it’s @starkience! 🎉
Through visuals, starkience explains concepts enabled by Account Abstraction, like social recovery, in a way that’s easy to understand.
